Dear
Contestants and Family,
You have qualified for
the 2010 National Finals. By being a winner or runner-up at your state pageant
in beauty,
photogenic, best fashion
or any optional event, you have won your $400.00 beauty entry fee paid to the
national finals.
Remember, you did not
have to be a winner in your state final in order to compete at the national
level. We have had many national winners that didn’t even place in their home
state pageant.
We are now celebrating 26
years as “The People’s Choice of Pageants™”. This past year, we have traveled
many miles along with our state directors and have met many wonderful people and
made many new friends. We would like to thank you for another very rewarding
year!
At the National Finals,
we use a large number of qualified judges.
The judges will not
be informed of how you placed in a previous pageant.
All contestants
start out on equal ground in this pageant. There will be a new
set of judges from the set that judged your child in the previous state
pageant. This could be your chance to win many GREAT PRIZES including a
$10,000.00 or $5,000.00 Savings Bond and have the VACATION OF A
LIFETIME. The many optional events means, there is something for
everyone.
We
have tried to keep our paperwork simple, but
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS
or you
do not understand something or you need help getting prepared, CALL US
at one of the above numbers.
DO
NOT TAKE SECOND HAND INFORMATION.
If you are trying to
decide which national pageant to attend this Summer, we hope you choose our
system. We have been around for 26 years and award all prizes on stage. Our
pageant is very “family oriented” and we believe family is first
priority. Make this your
family vacation. We’re looking forward to seeing you and your family at the
2010 National Finals.
Lora and Mike Cameron, National Directors

Commonly Asked Questions
1.
Who are the
Judges?
Our judges
will be from all over the country and highly qualified in all fields of modeling
and beauty.
2. How many
contestants in a group?
It varys from year to
year, but remember, it only takes one to win. You could be the $10,000.00 or
$5,000.00 bond winner.
3. Can I win beauty
and overall?
If you win the grand
supreme, super model supreme, age division supreme, and beauty, you will get the
highest title. The super model, age division supreme or beauty will be passed
down to the next in line. You cannot win all four. We will not double crown
the highest level of competition, but you can win any of the optionals in
addition to the above awards. This way we have more winners and you have a
better chance of winning a supreme title.
4. Should I bring a
color or black and white photo for photogenic and should it be smile or
serious? It
really doesn’t matter as long as it is a good facial shot. Both have won.
5. What is the
difference between beauty and most beautiful or handsome?
Beauty is judged on
facial beauty, personality and overall apperance. Most beautiful or handsome is
judged on facial beauty only.
6. Do you count off
if parents go on stage with the contestant?
No, it is highly
recommended that you go on stage with your child up to age 6 yrs.
7. What is
Casualwear?
Anything purchased from a store with nothing added to it for decorations.
Sundresses, capris, etc.
8. What do I wear
for crowning?
Cover Miss t-shirt,
white shorts, pants, etc. with white socks and white tennis shoes.
9. What is Super
Model? Super
Model Supreme is an overall by itself. You could win a $5,000.00 bond. You
must enter Outfit of Choice, Red White & Blue Wear and Glitz Photogenic in order
to win Super Model Supreme. These events are Pro/Am or Free Style
Modeling...Anything Goes.
10. What is Outfit of
Choice?
Anything you want to wear (Sportswear, Westernwear, Swimwear, Themewear, etc)
11. What
is Red White & Blue Wear?
Any outfit that is Red
White & Blue...dressy or casual, custom made or off the rack.
12. What type of
modeling for beauty & casualwear?
Straight beauty walk for
beauty. You may lift feet and hands for casualwear but still only an upbeat
beauty walk is allowed, no prissy walks and no pro/am turns or moves.
13. Will there be an
interview?
There will be no interview.
14. What about hair
and makeup?
Babies/Toddlers do not need make-up, but we understand you may want to cover up
dark circles or blemishes or give them a little more color under the stage
lights. If you choose to put make-up on 0-23 month girls, it should be very
light and undetectable from the judges table. Powder, a touch of blush, clear
lip gloss and clear mascara would be appropriate. EASY ON THE MAKEUP FOR ALL
AGES! If you choose to use a hairpiece, in any age group, it must look natural
and blend with your own hair or deductions will be taken. Judges should not be
able to tell it’s a hairpiece.
15. What color is
best? Your
choice, go with what looks best on your child.
16. Do we bring our
own music?
You can provide your own music for OUTFIT of CHOICE and RED WHITE & BLUE WEAR.
We will provide the music for all other events. Due to so many CD’s being
burned in various formats that are not compatible with the sound equipment
(meaning they won’t play), we highly recommend you choose your music for these
events from the list of national music that is posted on our website. If you do
bring your own music, it MUST be an AUDIO file burned to a CD ONLY. Otherwise
it will not play in the sound equipment. In the event your CD will not play
when you get on stage, the music tech will play the most appropriate song
available for your type of outfit.
17. How long do we
get on stage?
1 minute for all
events. You will be timed.
18. What happens if
we are late or go over time?
You will be deducted
points.
19. What about
props? Props
are not necessary but are allowed in super model events only. They can be hand
held or free standing and you must be able to get them on and off the stage
quickly and easily. Props should be used only if they enhance the outfit and/or
routine. No umbrellas, hats, gloves, purses or canes in Beauty, please! No
Props in Casualwear.
20. Long or Short
dress? Your
choice. Most 6 and under age groups wear short dresses, the 7-9 group usually
has some short and some long, the 10 & older groups usually wear long dresses.
You will not be counted off whichever you choose.
21. Do you have
line-ups? We
do not have line-ups because we do not want you compared to the child next to
you. We would rather judge you on an individual basis.
22. Should I use a
hair dresser or makeup artist?
This is your choice. If
you are comfortable doing your child’s hair and make-up you are encouraged to do
it. If it makes you or your child nervous and stressed out, you may want to
consider using a hairdresser / makeup artist. This is strictly a personal
choice, it makes no difference to us.
23. What happens if
someone is not following the rules?
Go directly to the
national director and the problem will be solved.
24. Can I choose a
number? You
may REQUEST a number if you send in your form before the deadline of June 1,
2010. Number requests will be granted on a first come first serve basis.
25. What is the
difference between fashion and formalwear?
Fashion is the prettiest
dress or best looking tuxedo, whereas formalwear is judged mainly on the poise
and presentation of the attire.

states awarding over $2,000,000.00 in cash and prizes yearly to many young
people. The contestant has the opportunity to win hundreds of $$$ in cash and
